If a storm has come through and you want to check and see if your property has sustained damage there are immediate steps you can take:
Do a complete walk around your property and look for anything that is out of place or not how it used to be. It is a good practice to do this prior to a storm so you have a baseline. For hail damage, most gutters & downspouts are soft metal and can give you a good idea of if you have damage or not. Some wind damage on the roof can be obvious and easily spotted from the ground.
Signs of wind damage to your roof include peeling or missing shingles, granule loss, and indoor watermarks. If you have significant granule loss, you will see this at the end of your downspouts.

I reached out to Anthony on short notice to help us assess a hole in our roof. He responded immediately and was out there the next morning to help us and was very knowledgeable. I Highly recommend Anthony and Montana Roofing Solutions!
Getting Started Is Easy
We will get on an intro call to learn about what your needs and expectations are.
We will perform a thorough inspection of your roof and help determine the best possible solution for you.
Most roofs will be completed within 1-2 days. You can sit back and breathe easy.
We inspect your roof and ensure your property is as clean as we found it.
My insurance company told me to get three estimates, should I?
Yes and no. You should meet with multiple contractors to decide who you would like to use for your repairs. You shouldn’t get three estimates and submit them all to your insurance so that they can pick the lowest dollar amount. You have no reason to do this as you can select any contractor to work with you and your insurance company.
Wind damaged my roof, should I have it repaired prior to filing an insurance claim?
If your roof has been damaged, it is best to have an inspection prior to any repairs. We will also document any damage we find so you have it to file your claim.
Can you explain the insurance deductible?
Yes. Your homeowners insurance deductible is the same concept as an auto or medical deductible. Example, if you have $20,000 in damages, and a $1,000 deductible, your total payout from insurance is $19,000.
